A colder start to spring meant there were not quite so many rose entries this year but that just made the competition all the more exciting. Jean Gloster won the Champion Rose with a magnificent deep red rose. Ninety-six lunches were made for local businesses and 120 were served at the Town Hall. Special diets such as gluten free were catered for and the strawberries were at their best so there was significant positive feedback. Next year will the 80th recorded Rose Show and a great opportunity for a special event.
