Dawn Service at Bealiba Train Station

It is possibly as long as 8 years since the traditional dawn service has been held on Bealiba Station but 2019 was the year to reinstate it, and it proved a perfect morning. Robert and Heather Cooper whose home this is had prepared well. The air was almost balmy for this time of year. The first fire was lit in the dark and the candles lit from it as a symbol of the light of Christ alive and risen going out into all the world. As the service progressed the real show was going on behind the celebrant, with a magnificent dawn display. At the end of the service the shout was loud. Christ was risen indeed and so was the sun. All that was left was to do was to join in the Easter Egg hunt and partake of an excellent breakfast cooked by Ian Lovel, and then the flame was carried back to Christ Church old Cathedral St Arnaud to light the candles there.
